Cliffs of Moher day trip!

Yesterday I visited the cliffs of Moher and Galway thanks to Wild Rover Tours. I booked this trip because I’ve never been on an organised tour before so I wanted to give it a whirl, it was reasonably priced at โ‚ฌ50, and this company had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. They also advertised wi-fi on the bus, so I was sold!

The bus departed Dublin around 730am and returned around 8pm.

I’m not sure if I’ll do another organised trip in the future. I’d rather explore Ireland on my own or with a friend in our own vehicle, so we can take our time and schedule our day as we like. Granted, I’m not sure if I could rent a vehicle and drive it around Ireland all day forย โ‚ฌ50, so the price was reasonable to me. Also, I wasn’t keen on chatting with other tourists on this trip, so I kept to myself the entire day. I think it would have been more enjoyable if I had a friend or my boyfriend with me.

Most of the day was spent on the bus. We had two hours to wander around the cliffs and two hours in Galway, apart from the short breaks at the Obama Plaza and The Burren. Out of a 12-hour journey, that was too much time in transit on the bus. I get motion sickness easily and the smell of fried chicken and crisps from non-vegan tourists made my nausea worse, so I didn’t exactly enjoy the bus ride.

On the plus side, I pushed myself to try something new and got a decent vlog out of it! The tour guide Vinnie and the driver Richard O’Brien were super friendly and informative. If you are interested in day trips I recommend Wild Rover Tours for sure. They offer other day trips from Dublin as well.
